COURSE GOAL

This course is designed to show students how the American business economy operates and to help them prepare to make decisions as consumers, wage earners and citizens within that economy.

TEXT

Business Principles and Management textbook and Student Activities Guide (workbook).

MATERIALS NEEDED

Textbook, workbook, pen/pencil (blue or black), folder and looseleaf paper.

CLASSROOM RULES

¨ Student handbook rules will be enforced (i.e. tardies and absences).

¨ Please refrain from bringing food, candy, gum or drink to class.

¨ Please keep your area clean!

GRADING

Classroom assignments and projects 75%

Tests and quizzes 25%

A=93-100% Student completes all assignments, demonstrates high effort and is attentive in class.

B=86-92% Student does above average work, shows good effort and is cooperative in class.

C=78-85% Student does average work, shows good effort and is cooperative in class.

D=70-77% Student does below average work, has few assignments completed, shows little or no effort in class and is uncooperative in class.
