Course Syllabus – Mr. Todd Cumming

Students will demonstrate the ability to use the appropriate
software to maintain and organize/locate data (Database).
·
Students will demonstrate the ability to use the appropriate
software to analyze data/make calculations, produce charts, synthesize the data
(Spreadsheet).
·
Students will demonstrate the ability to select and combine
software modules to solve specific problems.
·
Students will demonstrate the ability to apply desktop
publishing skills in real-life situations.
·
Students will demonstrate continued competency in
keyboarding.
Students
will be using a variety of work packets and handouts in this class. We may be using several different textbooks
as references.
Students
must bring each day:

Planner
·
No. 2 pencil and/or pen
·
Computer folder with looseleaf paper
Classroom projects, assignments, and
tests 80% 93-100% A
Keyboarding 20% 86-92% B
78-85% C
70-77% D
·
Rules of the student handbook will be enforced. (Attendance
and tardies)
·
No candy, food, gum, or drink is allowed in the computer
lab.
·
When the bell rings, you should be in your seats, booting up
the computers.
·
Before you leave, your work station must be clean and all
disks and books and papers placed where they belong.
·
Report any damaged or broken equipment immediately!
