"Identity Theft" is one of the most frequent crimes committed among young people today. It is important that IDs are secure--whether it is the social security number, drivers license number, high school ID, or the password into a computer environment.
No student probably ever stops to realize that when he/she enters a high school for the very first time, his/her identity is at risk. It is hard to realize that the identity that was created in the tender years of his/her life is now going to be challenged, if not threatened, and the possibility of surviving becomes hardly a possibility.

It is my hope that some of you will step up to the plate that challenges your very existence, that you will make wise choices; and the desire to secure your ethical standards of behavior can remain in tact as well as the value system that you fought so hard to develop. Do NOT let others steal your identity, but fight hard for the values worth keeping and be willing to learn from fellow students and change those values which need to change. You can be a beacon of light to others around you who are struggling to establish their own identities.
HAVE A GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!
