If you are pregnant or a teen parent, you have a right to go to school.

JTHS Infant Childcare Center

The lower level of the little theater of Central campus houses our childcare center.

Welcome

The purpose of the Joliet Township Infant Childcare Program is to prevent District 204 enrolled young parents from dropping out of school by providing opportunities to work toward and achieve their high school diplomas, learn positive child guidance, bonding and life skills, and make informed choices for their families while accessing, participating and engaging in high-quality, affordable care for their infants and toddlers during school hours.

We strive to achieve these goals in the following ways:

1) Provide quality, affordable childcare in partnership with teen parents who are serious about their education while they attend high school classes and work toward graduation.

2) Provide teen parents with skills and resources to make positive decisions through mandatory enrollment in a childcare class  which meets during the first period of the student’s school day. Teen parents work in partnership with their child’s caregivers to make sure they are an active participant in their child’s learning and development.

3) Provide teen parents with career guidance and counseling services to empower them to make informed life choices for themselves and their children.
